The Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda Auto's Indian subsidiary, Skoda India on Monday, July 28 declared that it will hike the price of all its cars from August 1 onwards.

A statement issued by Company read that the price hike would be in the range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 for all its models. Thomas Kuehl, Member Board of Directors, Sales and Marketing, Skoda India, said, ‘The price hike has been necessitated by a variety of cost push factors like surge in freight costs and raw materials.

The company has made efforts to absorb maximum costs to keep the price rise marginal so that the impact to our valued customers is minimized.’ The Skoda India Company informed that it registered in June a 69 per cent growth in the sales of its premium hatch back Fabia.
