Cricket's legend Sir Richard Hadlee is all set to become New Zealand's lone member of the International Cricket Council's Hall of Fame. Hadlee, the yesteryear's fast bowler will accept the honour on Friday. ICC President David Morgan and Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat will be in Wellington to honour the cricketing legend. The ICC dignitaries also meet with officials of New Zealand Cricket.

The ICC said that, the list which includes the name of Hadlee is only an initial list and in future it may include some other great cricketing name. Meanwhile, New Zealand Cricket has developed a unique initiative "Father versus Son" where promising schoolboy cricketers take on former greats in order to gain exposure.

In this "Father versus Son" initiative left-arm spinner Harry Wright will play for a Gilette Cup Elite Schoolboys squad against a Wanderer's XI that includes his father and erstwhile India coach John Wright and other former cricketers like Simon Doull.
