Tropical storm 'Sinlaku' has reached to eastern China; so far 4,60,000 people have been evacuated. Provinces of Zhejiang and Fujian located in east of mainland China have been worst affected with the storm. The typhoon Sinlaku however weakened into a tropical storm at 8 am in local time. Now, it is eying about 203 km to the south-east of Wenzhou in south-eastern Zhejiang.
 
On the other hand, reports from Taiwan tell that at least 130,000 households in Taiwan suffered a power blackout while 800 lost their water supply. However, only 782 typhoon victims could be provided with shelters by emergency management committee. Some estimates say that there is a loss of around US$3.6 million in agricultural due to the devastation caused by the storm.
 
The land of China is prone towards tropical storms and this one is thirteenth one in this year. Taiwanese authorities confirmed that there has been heavy loss of guava, banana, bamboo shoot and green onion crops. Also, there has been a huge loss of poultry and livestock in Taiwan. Fortunately, there are no reports of deaths; however, 13 people have been injured in different places.
