Singer George Michael will not be joining the judging panel in the US version of The X Factor, as confirmed by media mogul Simon Cowell.
It was reported that the singing legend will be making his comeback to the limelight with the reality show but Simon turned down the rumours. The rumours had sparked in November when the duo was spotted holding a meeting.
However, Cowell has some other explanation to tell, "(Michael) will not be a judge on the US The X Factor.”
George Michael was recently in news when he was pleaded guilty at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court in London after admitting driving under the influence of drugs. And in September 2010 at the same court, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, a fine, and a 5 year ban from driving. Michael was released from Highpoint Prison in Suffolk on October 11, 2010, after serving four weeks.
