Following a victory in the early general elections convened the previous month, Silvio Berlusconi was sworn in as Italy’s prime minister for the third time in his political career on Thursday 8 May. After Berlusconi took his pledge, his 21 member cabinet followed suit. Silvio Berlusconi along with his Conservatives smoothly won the general elections held in April by getting a majority in both houses of parliament.
In an address to Italian people, Silvio Berlusconi however warned them of some rough years ahead during which he would execute some not-really-favorable reforms. A lot of voters in Italy remarked that they were disappointed with the whole gamut of the political group. But added that they hoped that this time would be a different experience.
