Manoj Night Shyamalan, the Indian born Hollywood director is set to visit India in the first week of May, to promote his latest film ‘The Happening’ as well as receive the prestigious civilian award Padma Sri. The acclaimed Hollywood director has to his credit some of the most brilliant films of our times. He is known to be a master in the genre of supernatural thrillers and has made films like ‘Signs’, ‘The Sixth Sense’, ‘Village’, ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘The Lady in the Water’.
Shyamalan will be returning to India after a decade to promote ‘The Happening’, which has also been penned down by him. The supernatural thriller stars Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. The director will be in Mumbai on May 5, 2008 to promote his film which is co-produced by Bollywood studio UTV Motion Pictures. The young Indian director will later fly to Delhi, where he will receive the most coveted, one of India’s highest civilian award Padma Sri from the President of India.
