Finally, good news for Shiney Ahuja! Bombay High Court grants him bail today, 01^st October, after spending four months of imprisonment. The actor was in prison owing to the alleged rape case of his 19-year old housemaid. The actor got his bail today and will have to pay a sum of Rs.50000. Court also instructed Shiney to stay in Delhi and asks him to surrender his passport.

 

Shiney’s lawyer took the negative DNA report and Shiney’s failing health as the main points to get the bail. There had been three-day intense hearing, which led to the final release of Shiney. Though the actor is granted the bail, it will take two more days for him to get released from the prison. However, after his release he will have to move to his native residence in Delhi and make required visits to the nearest police stations to his home.

 

Shiney's wife Anupam Ahuja breathed a sigh of relief and said, "From day one we have maintained that Shiney is innocent. Our faith in the judiciary is reaffirmed. I am glad to have Shiney back home."

 

Whether Shiney can continue acting is yet to be known, Early this week, the 36-year-old actor, Shiney Ahuja was seen crying and wincing in pain when he was produced in the Mumbai Court. Ahuja had been falling in health and was struggling to walk during his trial. He had to be assisted into the courtroom by two constables. He was later brought outside where immediately lied down on a bench quivering. This desperate health condition of Shiney made his lawyer, Sameer Nagre to move an application seeking medical treatment at the earliest.
