Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty along with Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, were honored by the British government for their contribution to the ‘diversity agenda’. The Indian actress managed to raise a whopping 63000 Pound for charity on the gala night. She was presented with the award at the Riverbank Park Plaza hotel, hosted by the Next Step Foundation.
The actress auctioned her kisses for a cool 12,500 Pounds to an admirer at the award night. The actress raised a charity of 63,000 Pound for the Silver Star Appeal that runs mobile diabetes assessment units. The sultry actress climbed the stage during the gala night and to enthuse the auction remarked that the winner would get a kiss from her. Shilpa was however quick to add that the kiss would be on the cheek as she does not want her effigies to be burnt again. The actress was referring to the Richard Gere incident, when she was slapped notices and a court case along with her effigies being burnt due to the controversial kiss. On the Global Diversity Award night however, her admirer received three kisses on his cheeks.
