In order to promote Indian trade and business in the Middle Eastern and North African markets a new Indian Trade and Exhibition Centre is likely to be set up in Sharjah. While talking to media, the chairman of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), Sudesh Aggarwal informed that the construction work of the new centre in Sharjah is supposed to be completed within the next 12 to 15 months.
The Indian ministry of commerce is reported to have already approved the setting up of the Trade and Exhibition Centre. The centre will focus on promoting trade between India and Middle Eastern region. IBPC and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed an agreement to open the centre. The setting up of the trade center will enable the Indian businessmen to execute their operation in Sharjah. Apart from sponsoring Indian businessmen, IBPC has assured to give them office space on a temporary basis.
The new trade and exhibition center will be built on an area of 50,000 square feet of land. There will be conference rooms, exhibition halls, office space, an auditorium, administrative offices, storage space and a restaurant in the centre. Besides promoting trade, the centre will exhibit Indian products and services and host meetings, conferences and seminars for the Indian business and professional community.
