Not far from people’s expectation that Shakti Mohan to don the cap as the winner of ‘Dance India Dance’ reality show has proved correct with her excellent moves that swooned public’s votes easily to her stride.
 
Crowds were left exalted with thrill and romance by the ‘Dance India Dance’ four final competitors Dharmesh Yelande, Shakti Mohan, Punit Pathak and Binny Sharma who battled out fiercely leaving no stones unturned but finally the winner had her own charm to outstand.
 
The sizzling winner is no other than Shakti Mohan who toed away with her flashy steps to acclaim the cap trophy of ‘Dance India Dance’.
 
It was a tedious battle fighting for seventeen weeks with intense rehearsals, Shakti finally emerged into the limelight of India’s great entertainment, season 2 of dance reality show 'Dance India Dance' presented by Lux.
 
This famous ‘Dance India Dance’ reality show was choreographed by Terence Lewis, Remo D Souza and Geeta Kapur while Bolywood actor Mithun Chakraborty represented as the host.
 
Young, beautiful and talented Shakti who earlier pursued to become a bureaucrat but gave up in becoming the country's new dancing sensation ‘Dance India Dance 2’, felt content about her heart's decision which came in a fruitful result.
 
Her dream has taken into a new track, Shakti excitedly exclaims, “I was always a topper in school and college and was determined to become an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer. But then 'Dance India Dance' came along. And now that I have won it, there's no looking back.”
 
This twenty four year old M.A. in political science is insistent to explore more into dance against her father desire to see her take the civil services exam, Shakti justified,  "My father was quite insistent that I take the civil services exam and kept saying that 'you can try till you're 30 years old'. But now I'm not heading there, I'm going to study dance.”
 
Presently, since she has already followed into the track of contemporary dances, she is very particular about her dance decision as before the audition of the show, she had enrolled for a three-year diploma course in dance at the institute of choreographer Terrence Lewis, who is her mentor on the reality show.
 
Like other youngsters Shakti has a desire to go abroad to study dance, but couldn't pursue it due to financial constraint and she stated, "family isn't financially very sound".
 
Now after winning the comptetion she has found her outlet to accomplish her dream and now she plans to brush of her dancing skills in abroad before becoming a proficient choreographer to lead the future generation of India.
 
On account of her win, Shakti mentioned,"I will try and use whatever money I get here or in shows later to go abroad, especially London, and study dance seriously. Apart from contemporary dance, I also want to learn other forms of dancing such as Kathak and hip-hop.”
 
This lucky lady already has grabbed an offer in Farah Khan's next direction ‘Tees Maar Khan’ where she will be featured in a promotional video.
