Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is likely to choose the cheerleaders for his Indian Premier League (IPL) team through a television show named 'Knights & Angels'. The first ever talent hunt show for the cheerleaders will be produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment and will air on NDTV Imagine. According to sources, the actor will select six cheerleaders for the upcoming second season of IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders. The participants of the show will have to have style, personality, attitude, rhythm and a fit body to get inducted as Knight Riders' cheerleaders.

 

IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders is owned by Shah Rukh Khan in partnership with Juhi Chawla Mehta and her husband, Jai Mehta. During the last year's IPL tournament, the team began its journey in a flamboyant manner by winning the initial two games. But as the international cricketers started to leave the team to participate in their respective countries' international matches, Knight Riders experienced failures and lost consecutive matches. The team could not qualify for the semi-finals.

 

However, the Kolkata Knight Riders emerged as one of most successfully teams as far as financial matters are concerned. The team has achieved a profit of 13 crore during last year's IPL tournament. Before the launch of inaugural T20 IPL tournament, actor Shah Rukh Khan had left no stone unturned to promote the team. From official theme to team's outfit, everything had been promoted widely to gain maximum popularity.
