The controversy over sex education in India has been set aside by sex education manual. The manual has recommended for separate classes for boys and girls. There will be one class a week on the subject and lady teacher will teach girls on the issues related to sex and health, similarly, male teacher will be responsible for telling about sexual infections and HIV-AIDS to male students.

India, already in red zone of AIDS, is looking for enlightened teenagers and for that teachers have been asked to initiate teaching on diverse issues related to causes of HIV, and precautions for the same. The new manual reveals that the discussion on the origin of the virus, and, its prevalence in the world and in India would be done by teachers.

The discussion on why women and children are more vulnerable in getting infected with the virus would be a vital part of the study. The manual is out for public feedback till August will be finalized in the month of October this year. However, taking sincerity of sex education, teachers have been recommended to quiz students to check their comprehension of the subject.
