The key index of the Indian equities markets started its trade on Monday on a weak note ruling at 205 points lower than its last closing figure of Friday.
 
The 30-scrip index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), opened lower at 13,405.95 points, was at 13,298.35 - 205.87 points or 1.52% below Friday's closing figure.
 
Around the same time, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), too, was ruling in the red at 3,954.05 points, down 1.25%.
 
Broader market indices were also under pressure, with the BSE midcap index trading 1.63% lower and the BSE smallcap index moving down 1.89%.
