The key index of the Indian equities markets opened green on Tuesday, ruling 267 points above its last closing figure of Monday about five minutes into trading.
The 30-scrip BSE index that opened higher at 13,549.42 points was at 13,667.91 - 267.59 points or 2% higher than Monday's closing figure.
Around the same time, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too was ruling in the green at 4,055.6 points, up 2.05%.
Broader market indices were also in the positive terrain, with the BSE midcap index trading 2.44% higher and the BSE smallcap index moving up 2.01%.
