This perhaps should make the concerned authorities in India wake up from their slumber. The latest buzz pertaining the world-acclaimed Taj Mahal at Agra is that 15 of its 32 security cameras have been stolen. This reflects poorly on the security provided to this 17th century monument, which continues to remain on the hit list of terrorist organizations for a long time now.
The tourist industry of India is shocked and irked up over this incident. Rajiv Tiwari, President, Agra Tourism Federation confirmed the news saying only 19 cameras remain in the Taj precincts after 15 got stolen.
Those from the tourism industry agree that it is a reason for concern as it shows that those responsible for the safety of the Taj Mahal have failed in providing even the most basic of the security measures.
