Satyam's chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas has relinquished his job on Thursday (January 8). The resignation of Srinivas came at time when the beleaguered company is engulfed with financial scam and controversy. Only day before yesterday, the chairman of Satyam Computer Services Ltd, B. Ramalinga Raju left his job admitting to a massive financial fraud. The news of Rs 8,000 crore financial fraud spread like fire that caused the de-listing of the IT company from BSE.

Commenting on the resignation of CFO, Satyam interim chief executive Ram Mynampati said that Srinivas' resignation letter has been forwarded to the board, which will consider it in the board meeting commencing on January 10.  While interacting with the media at a press conference, Mynampati informed that Vadlamani Srinivas is very much present in the in the city, though he has not been attended the office for sometime due to personal reasons.

Although the company is boosting the fact that Srinivas has been constantly in contact with it, his whereabouts are not known to the interim management. When asked about the next possible candidate for CFO's office, Mynampati said any of the competent persons within the company could be considered for the job. Meanwhile, report says that a few chartered accountants in the organisation have gathered to asses the financial situation of the company. According to the investors, CFO Vadlamani Srinivas might have been aware of the financial irregularities that had taken place in Satyam.
