Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in a dramatic turn of events stated that he and Manyata are not married. The actor made this statement in a suburban Mumbai court, challenging the allegations of bigamy, leveled by Manyata’s first husband Meraj Rehman. The statement further generated controversy regarding Manyata and Sanjay Dutt’s marital status. The couple stated that they do not have any legal document to produce before the court to validate their marriage in the eyes law.

 

The couple reported before the suburban Bandra court that their marriage in Goa is nullity. Sanjay Dutt and Manyata clearly stated in the application that to prosecute them under bigamy, it is necessary to prove their marriage valid in the eyes of law. S N Sardesai, Additional Sessions Judge on Monday, April 7 confirmed receiving the application from Sanjay Dutt and Manyata. April 23 is the designated date to further hear on the matter.
