SanDisk company has launched a new series of its USB flash drives in India.  The newly launched "SanDisk Ultra Backup USB" drives are available in the capacities of as much as 64 GB. The Ultra Backup USB is the world’s first backup USB flash drives which come with simple backup software activation enabled by a touch of a button. They do not need any software installation or any cables.

 

The Ultra Backup USB is a multiple-utility device which can be used to save content right from photos, music, videos to personal and business documents and other digital files. Other features of Ultra Backup USB series include password-protected access control and ultra-secure AES hardware-based encryption.

 

SanDisk is also offering the two other lines of USB drives – SanDisk Cruzer and SanDisk Extreme Contour, in India. The series offers capacities up to 32 GB and is ideal for simple saving and sharing of photo, music, video and other files. All the three lineups of the USB backup drives –Ultra Backup, Cruzer and Extreme Contour will be available in the Indian market by April. 2009. Their pricing details are yet to be announced.
