Leading mobile handset manufacturer, Samsung launched a new phone called S3030 Tobi for pre-teens. The new Tobi is designed keeping in mind the safety and security of children. Samsung claimed to have put a graphical user interface in the new phone which has never been used on a phone before. The handset comes preloaded with animated characters and themes. There are three built-in themes in Tobi viz. monster, snowman, ocean.    

 

The safety features of the new S3030 Tobi include SOS call, SOS message, and fake call functions. Tobi is made of recycled materials and bio-plastics which places the phone in the list of environment friendly gadgets. Samsung claimed to have used non-toxic paints and non-allergenic materials to develop the new S3030 Tobi. Available in six colours, S3030 Tobi will make its debut in all the leading countries after its launch in the UK and Italy.

 

The new Tobi incorporates user changeable rear covers and a special clear rear cover sleeve that allows the users to customize the phone with their own photos. The phone comes with 15 MB expandable memory. The pricing of S3030 Tobi has not been announced yet. Samsung is likely to launch a website dedicated to the Tobi at tobi.samsungmobile.com to promote the phone.
