Leading South Korean consumer products major, Samsung introduced three new touchscreen mobile phones in India. Among the three handsets, Samsung Star and Samsung Star 3G have been manufactured in company's Nodia unit. Samsung Star mobile has a slim and compact body measuring 11.9mm. The slim touchscreen phone is endowed with Samsung's TouchWiz User Interface. Samsung Star features 'Photo Contact' that enables the users to call the contact at the touch of an image.
 
Samsung Star also comes with a Gesture Control facility that allows the users to unlock the Touch Screen or run an application by giving a gesture command. The new slim touchscreen phone Samsung Star carriers a price tag of Rs 11,100. The other model, Samsung Star 3G enables the users to browse internet with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation. It is priced at Rs 14,499. Apart from these, the company also launched the new Samsung BEATDJ model.
 
Samsung BEATDJ phone is also a 3G enabled handset having Bang & Olufsen technology. This model will be available at price of 18,990. Bollywood actress Gul Panang launched the phones in India. According to Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Mobile Division, the company is committed to deliver various full touch products to its consumers. Dutt claimed that all the newly launched handsets feature several essential functions including photo, video, music, GPS and games.
