The OMH technology will provide the CDMA customers the flexibility to use the handset without a CDMA operator.

According to Qualcomm India and South Asia president Kanwalinder Singh, along with Qualcomm, Reliance Communication and Tata Indicomm have also played vital roles for the development of this technology. He added that MTS and Virgin Mobile will be soon be launching SIM cards that are OMH compliant.
