Samsung has launched its latest smartphone, the Champ, which is meant for the entry level customers. The new phone uses company's own Touchwiz Lite interface instead of Google's Android.

The new set boasts of a 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen display along with many features like a 1.3MP camera, a FM radio, Bluetooth, a microSD card up to 8GB and a 3x3 widget menu format. There is also a stylus pen that is provided for better navigation.

The Samsung set looks like the Genio and will compete with another set called the S3370 that comes with a bigger 2.7-inch screen. The latest set is however without WiFi or 3G facility.

Samsung has provided great touchscreen capability with the Champ and with the affordable price of £10 a month, the phone is expected to create its own impression in future. The set is expected to be available in Europe and many other markets in June.
