Salman Khan's 'Veer' ‘Hit’ Ya ‘Miss’?
In the initial, much hype created by the periodic drama of Salman Khan’s ‘Veer’ has currently fallen short of its impression and has come down to an average point of 45 percent in the starting weekend.
The audiences have not been able to relate to the concept of the film, Yogesh Raizada, corporate head (cinemas) of Wave Cinemas stated. He said, "There has been a major drop in the movie. 'Veer' is a period movie and audiences have not been able to relate to it. The movie got only around 40 percent of opening because there was no competition considering it was a solo release.”
The film was co-produced by Eros International Media Ltd presentation and Vijay Galani's Moviez production, while the story was written by Salman and directed by Anil Sharma with a gross expenditure of about Rs.44 crore.
The back drop of the film is constructed in the flavor of monarch policy of the Britishers who enslaved India with their divide and rule policy. Under which kings and nawabs fell for it, except the Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought till their last breath. Exactly, this Pindari role is acted by Salman who is named as Veer, the title of the film.
Alternatively, there good news hooked up Piyush Raizada, director of Delite Cinema who stated, "'Veer' is doing very well and the collections are fantastic considering it's a long weekend."
Footfalls are expected, Yogesh added, "Now that we have an extended weekend due to Republic Day, may be it gets some footfalls as people don't have any other movie to watch."
Well as the sword looms over ‘Veer’ whether to consider it to be a hit or miss, expect things turns out positively well for Salman.
