Actor Salman Khan said that Bollywood can be called HiFi which is a short form for Hindi film industry and even Riteish Deshmukh has supported it.

 

Riteish wrote in twitter, "I totally love the term HI-FI for Hindi film industry, instead of Bollywood."

 

Recently, Salman expressed his hatred towards the name Bollywood which is used to represent the Hindi Film Industry and said that it looks like a copied form of Hollywood.

 

He recently wrote on twitter, “Hollywood se Bollywood naam nikla, this is not the name of our industry. Don't know where this ridiculous name has come from and got stuck."

 

He also said, "One of the first film productions was called Bombay Talkies, so call it that or Mumbai Talkies or Indian cinema. Call it anything but not Bollywood. Bollywood was for when Mumbai was called Bombay.”
