Dinara Safina has won Pan Pacific Open after defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia in straight set by 6-1, 6-3. After winning the championship she said that she played the best tennis this week and in consequence to it she would reach to No. 3 in the world rankings in women category.

 

The match played at Ariake Colosseum lasted for 1 hour and 18 minutes was every bit a thrilling match. Safina said that it is always nice to move up in the rankings and hopefully she would be improving continuously as she feels she is good form."
