Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has joined the first-choice players Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan, who will not playing for the forthcoming Challenger trophy Series, which is slated to take place from October 8 to 11 in Nagpur.
Tendulkar had not played the India's last Group A match at the Champions Trophy in South Africa after he suffered from food poisoning. Abhinav Mukund of Tamil Nadu, who exhibited a wonderful performance during Ranji Trophy and a century from last week’s Irani Cup, will be replacing Sachin.
S Badrinath, wo had been actually the part of Indian Green, will now lead India Red, after Yuvraj withdrew from the series due to injury. Iraf Pathan will be replaced by Vikramjeet Malik from Himachal Pradesh in the India Green team.
Manoj Tiwary, who had been actually a part of the India Red side, will now be representing the Delhi Daredevils at the Champions League Twenty20, with Saurabh Tiwary taking his place in Challenger Series.
Challenger Series is a ‘preparatory test’ for India before they play the 7 ODIs against Australia later this month.
