Saas Bahu Aur Sensex is a movie that shows how a group of housewives obsessed with kitty parties get transformed into savvy stock investors. This film of Shona Urvashi's lacks depth, texture as well as the narrative arc. You feel more disappointed because the theme had every potential to become a really fun-filled flick about female-empowerment.
It seems like a slew of incidents have been woven haphazardly into a film. The characters simply seem to move from one scene to another aimlessly and at times, you feel unsure about where the film story is headed. Saas Bahu Aur Sensex has a very typical set of characters - a yappy Punjabi wife, Tamilians who love Kamal Hassan, Kirron Kher as the rational, rich Bengali single mom, etc. The sole actor, who has put some life into the movie is Farooq Sheikh as a Parsi stockbroker.
