S Ramadorai, the outgoing chief executive of Tata Consultancy Services, will take over the position of the chairman of Tata Elxsi Ltd with immediate effect. This information was revealed on Monday by the Tata group in a regulatory filing.
Ramadorai will be taking over Syamal Gupta, who had resigned from the position to comply with the retirement policy of the Tata Group of Companies. The firm, which was addressing the media after the company’s AGM, told that Tata Elxsi’s director, Sujit Gupta, had also stepped down from the company’s board of directors after he had developed health problems.
Ramadorai, who retires from TCS on Oct 5 on super-annuation, will maintain associations with the global software major as non-executive vice-chairman and additional director on its board.
