Media czar Rupert Murdoch is in his sixth visit to India, and this time he has many jumbo dreams to execute; one of them is to forge joint partnership with Times of India group. Interestingly, Murdoch has been known for big take over in media sector all across the world.

As of now, Murdoch is not present in print media in India, and his Star network is doing well in electronic media. With any joint collaboration with Times of India group would be an entry for Murdoch to step in print media, which is heavily dominated by two groups, i.e. Times of India, and Hindustan Times.

Murdoch already has huge presence in media sector in USA, Australia, and UK. Now, it seems, he wants to expand his business in emerging markets of China and India. However, it is noteworthy that foreign investment in India is restricted to 26% in media sector.
