Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily showed his dissatisfation to the mob's self framed manner of delivering justice to the Ruchika case convict Rathore. The youth names Utsav Sharma,29 got hold of Rathroe and stabbed him outside the Chandigarh court yesterday.

Moily said that civilians should not take law into their hands to provide justice, “That is not the way to settle scores, one has to be tolerant. No person, no matter what the anguish might be, cannot take the law into his own hands.”

Government is highly concerned about incidents where the mob cannot be controlled and they take law into their hands. The accused are not safe in court premises as well. After this incident of mob violence, it is clear that the security for the accused should be stronger.

But, the mob anger is not completely unjustified. It also depends on the judiciary, the anger of the mob heightens when fast justice is not provided and then they are forced to attain justice by themselves.
