East India’s luxury surface transport operator Royal Cruiser has introduced Volvo bus service from Kolkata to Haldia and Puri. It also launched recently another service linking Kolkata to Mayapur. While the Kolkata-Haldia service is meant for business commuters, the one linking Puri and Mayapur with Kolkata have been done to serve the religious and culturally inclined travelers.

These services are the fallout of collaboration between West Bengal Surface Transport Corporation and Kaushik Logistics Private Limited. The Haldia service is a daily one and the bus leaves the West Bengal capital at 7.45 am. The return service is from Haldia is at 5.15 pm. The bus journey to Puri is an overnight one.

Under the Puri-Kolkata service, the Royal Cruiser leaves at 8.00 pm and reaches Puri at 6.00 am next day. The return bus service from Puri is at 7.00 pm. The Mayapur service departs Kolkata at 6.30 am and the return journey from Mayapur is at 4.00 pm. These Volvo buses introduced by Royal Cruiser are fully AC ones.
