It was a mixed day for India’s Rohan Bopanna who won in the doubles but failed to advance in the single event at ATP Challenger tournament in Aachen, Germany.
Bopanna lost to local lad Simon Stadler in his first round singles encounter. Stadler crushed the Indian in straight sets by 6-2, 7-5.
However Bopanna made it into the quarters in the doubles competition with his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. The Indo-Pak combo registered a 7-5, 6-2 win over Croat Wild Card pair of Nikola Mektic and Ivan Zovko in their pre-quarter clash.
