Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal, world no. 1, 2 and 3 respectively, have entered the quarter finals of the Cincinnati Masters. But Andy Roddick could not make it to the quarters.
Federer reserved a berth for himself in the quarter finals by defeating Argentina’s Jose Acasuso for a 6-3, 7-5 whereas Murray defeated Spain’s Nicolas Almagro for -6(3), 6-2.
Rafael Nadal managed to have a marginal win over Italy’s Andrea Seppi 7-6(4), 7-6(3). Novak Djokovic, seeded fourth, advanced into the quarters by taking over Croatia’s Ivan Ljubicic 7-6(5), 6-4.
Fifth seeded Andy Roddick lost to American Sam Querrey for a 7-6(11), 7-6(3).
