According to a poll conducted by Lovefilm.com, Sylvestor Stallone's hit movie Rocky has been crowned as the best movie ever made on sports. Rocky received 20 percent votes of the people followed by Cool Cunnings and Million Dollar Baby.

 

The movie released in 1976 stars Stallone as a small time boxer who battles all the odds to become the world heavyweight champion in boxing. Stallone was also the writer of the film which was directed by John G.Avildsen. Other stars in the film were Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, Burgess Meredith, Tony Burton. Rocky also won 3 Academy awards. The film has also five sequels namely Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rocky V and Rocky Balboa.

 

The fourth spot is shared between Jerry Maguire and Raging Bull. Other movies which made their way to the top ten are Field of Dreams, White Men Can't Jump, Chariots of Fire, Escape to Victory and Caddyshack. The lists of the films according to their ranks are:
