Marking the 41st anniversary of the release of the band’s classical album the feuding members of the Doors Band have reunited to work for a documentary movie intended to portray rock legends. The documentary film will feature interviews with the three existing Doors members and rare footage available.
Ray Manzarek the keyboard player of the band hopes that the film will be released by the end of the year (08) and admits that, from what he's seen, the project will correct mistruths that appeared in director Oliver Stone's The Doors biopic. He further added that the documentary is the anti-Oliver Stone film and this will be the true story of the Doors.
However reunion has not been favoured by all. Drummer John Densmore says that the 'reunion' was disrespectful to late frontman Jim Morrison and took his ex-pals to court, forcing them to cease using the Doors name. Earlier the trio came together for a book signing event in Los Angeles last year (07) but later development led to their differences grow widen more.
