The World number 10, Robin Soderling, will take part in the next edition of Chennai Open. Soderling confirmed his participation for the India's only ATP World Tour tennis tournament on Monday.
The Swede had crushed Rafael Nadal before going down to Roger Federer in the French Open final this year.The winner of last edition of Chennai open, Marin Cilic has already confirmed his participation.
Soderling in a press release said, “Chennai Open is a much awaited event in the international tennis circuit. India is a fascinating country and I am looking forward to visiting India and playing at the tournament this year.”
The president of the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association, MA Alagappan said, "Tennis fans in Chennai and India will be excited with confirmation from Robin Soderling. He is one of the top ranked players in the world and his presence will enthral the players and fans alike. We are delighted to host him at Aircel Chennai Open 2010."
Chennai Open will take place from January 4 till January 10.
