British pop star Robbie Williams is so desperate to move to the US before winter sets in here that he is willing to sell his country mansion at a reduced price.

Thsun.co.uk reports that he wants to be back in Los Angeles to be with his American girlfriend Ayda Field. The 35-yrear-old paid almost $13.9 (8.5 million pounds) for the 18th century Compton Bassett House - complete with a helicopter hangar, temples and fountains. But he has now asked his agent to cut the price to sell it off quickly.

"Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money. Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him. He's already got a few people interested in the mansion," said a source.

The singer admits that he bought the house on impulse. "I can't really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot. I've done a few impulse buys and it leaves you no money," he said.
