Prominent Indian economist and environmental scientist, Rajendra Kumar Pachauri better known as just RK Pachauri will be presented with the Global Leadership Award at the soon-to-be-held Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards at Bangkok between 6 and 8 June. This news was confirmed by the organizers on Thursday 22 May.  

 

Sabbas Joseph, the director of Wizcraft International Entertainment Ltd pointed out that the yearly IIFA Awards ceremony does not simply deals with movies. He said it also has other important topics on its agenda like global warming, which will be highlighted at the forthcoming IIFA Awards 2008.  Mr Joseph further informed that Indian Bollywood actors such as Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Govinda will be performing at the event to keep the ambience alive and peppy.

 

The Wizcraft International Entertainment Ltd director has remarked that the audience can look forward to many more special moments at IIFA 2008. For instance, the much-awaited Hindi films Sarkar Raj starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwariya Rai-Bachchan as well as Love Story 2050 featuring Priyanka and Harman Baweja will also get screened during the IIFA weekend in Bangkok.
