Research In Motion (RIM) Limited, the maker of the BlackBerry, on Wednesday, 10, 2008, launched the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, its very first flip smart phone. The Pearl Flip 8220 highlights the attempt to shift from the traditional candy-bar style device format to a chamshell one.

The company is targeting both people from the corporate sector and others as target customers. Sending messages, making and receiving calls, surfing the internet, clicking pictures, seeing video and listening to music are some of the uses of this newly launched BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220. 'It is all in your control with a simple flip,' said BlackBerry said.
