Singer Ricky Martin giving birth to twin boys via a surrogate mother is going to act as fuel for re-igniting rumors about him being a gay. Nevertheless the Grammy Award winning Puerto Rican singer is reportedly elated and has taken a break from work and public spotlight to spend time with his children.

A statement issued in this regard by his representative read, 'In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full- time care.' The statement, however, did not reveal the name of the boys. The identity of the surrogate mother too was kept under wrap.
