M Vyasa, a very prominent name among Kannada short story writers, passed away at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23. He was 67 years old. It was while he was resting after lunch at his residence in Madhur Mannippadi in Kerala’s Kasargod district that he experienced a chest pain, which was due to a cardiac arrest.
The noted Kannada writer died soon after and is now survived by his wife, son and two daughters. Every since the news of M Vyasa’s passing away spread, a number of dignitaries have been visiting his residence to pay their condolences. M Vyasa, apart from being a respected columnist, has also penned over 500 short stories and poems.
He will always be remembered for his unique and off beat ideas that reflected widely in his stories. Some notable publications of M Vyasa include Kambani and Krutha (compilations of short stories), mini novel titled 'Snana', collection of poems 'Kshetra' and 'Suli' and collection of rational write-ups 'Janapatha'.
