Rene Adler of Bayer Leverkuisen will be goalkeeper for Germany while they will play for the key World Cup qualifiers next month.
According to the German coach Joachim Loew, Adler is a natural choice for replacing Hanover's Robert Enke. Enke will not be playing for the qualifiers match as he is suffering from a bacterial infection.
"Rene played well in the last two internationals. I have complete faith in him," Loew was quoted saying. Enke has already been named by Loew as his favourite top player for Germany’s qualifier match against Russia, which is slated to be held in Moscow on Oct 10 as well as for the match which will be played against Finland in Hamburg later.
Loew confirmed he would call up three keepers for the two qualifiers - Adler, Schalke's Manuel Neuer and Werder Bremen's Tim Wiese.
