If sources are to be believed, then the Tamil audience will soon get to see the remake of the Malayalam movie, Red Chillies, which was made by Shaji Kailas, with Mohanlal essaying the lead role. Despite the fact that the movie had received mixed response at the box office, the movie has set an example for stylistic rendering.
The movie was about the mysterious deaths of some girls who were working as Radio Jockeys. Mohanlal is the person, who owns that radio channel. The movie then goes ahead with Mohanlal trying to solve the mystery and identify the real culprits.
Shaji Kailas has earlier remade the Suresh Gopi’s superhit movie, ‘Chintamani Kola Case’m in Tmail with R K essaying the role of Suresh Gopi as the notorious criminal lawyer. So according to sources, Shaji Kailas has approached R K to essay the role of Mohanlal in the Tamil version of ‘Red Chillies’. The heroines have not yet been decided.
