The latest heartthrob of the nation, Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in by Karan Johar to work in his upcoming venture ‘My Name Is Khan’. The ‘Sawariya’ actor will be sharing the screen space with Bollywood’s superstar Shahrukh Khan. The film aims at showing the plight of Asian Muslims in a post 9/11 world. Ranbir is going to play the role of a ‘Jehadi’ in the film.

Ranbir while talking to reporters remarked that he is very excited about working in the film and is looking forward to work with Shahrukh. The movie is set to go on floor in October this year and is likely to bring the super hit and most beloved screen pair of Shahrukh and Kajol back after a gap of many years. Kajol has not yet officially agreed to do the film.

Shahrukh will play the role of a Muslim who gets wrongly detained at a flight because his last name is Khan and the authorities take him to be a terrorist. Karan Johar is currently looking for shooting locations in Los Angeles for the film. It is also being said that Karan Johar is trying to rope in Akshay Kumar in the film.
