Slowly Ranbir Kapoor is bringing out his abilities in front of the public and now in a new diva as a ice skater which quite an uncommon pursuit.

 

Reportedly it was stated that for the film ‘Anjaana Anjaani,' Ranbir and Priyanka were scheduled to ice-skate at the Central Park in New York for four days. But unfortunately Priyanka was not at sight to support him as she had to flee to India to promote her latest film ‘Pyaar Impossible.’

 

Ranbir was left alone to do the stunt and had to brave the rough winters of New York for non-stop three consecutive nights in the Central Park. The best part is that he had dedicated himself for weeks to adopt this skill, which quite fun but seriously difficult.

 

It was a breath taking sight to see him dedicating for perfection, Sajid Nadiadwala stated, “Ranbir’s dedication to get it absolutely right just took our breath away. He is relentless. He had to skate alone because Priyanka had to return to Mumbai. He skated for three nights from 11 pm to 4 am in minus 6 degrees in Central Park.”

 

One should never underestimate Ranbir’s passion for excellence, Sajid added, “We were the first film unit since ‘Serendipity’ to get permission to shoot in Central Park’s ice-skating rink. We had limited time and it was freezing cold. We were worried about how we’d manage it. We underestimated Ranbir’s passion for excellence. He skated non-stop all night for three nights. And after the night shoots, he also shot during the day for other scenes. The footage we’ve captured of Ranbir ice-skating shows his ballet-like elegance and precision. I don’t think we’ve ever got anything like this before.”

 

When Priyanka returned she was speechless at the footage of Ranbir’s ice-skating and expressed her desire to do it like him.
