Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a comedy role this time, with Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfee’. His on-screen personality has always changed with time and this time he is set to tickle your bones with his Mr. Beam replica role.

 

Ranbir will act in the comedy role, but this time he would have to put on those extra kilos to look plump and flabby. He would have to binge on typical junk food to increase weight and get rid of his present slim physique.

 

An insider also reveals, “For a month until the shooting starts in February, Ranbir will binge on fatty food.”

 

Anurag Basu previously wanted Ranbir to don the role of ‘King of Comedy’, Charlie Chaplin, but the actor chose the role of Mr. Bean instead, he felt that younger generation would like to see a recent comic character.

 

A source adds, “Basu is a big fan of Chaplin’s. But Mr Bean is Ranbir’s idea. He feels the younger generation needed a far more immediate and ready reference point than Chaplin and Basu too jumped at the idea.”

The movie’s shooting will start from the month of February.
