Ram Gopal Varma has started shooting for the sequel of his horror movie Phoonk which has been given the title of Phoonk 2. But it looks like he was not able to rope in Mallika Sherawat for the movie. He had cherished the dream of casting her in this movie.
Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa has been roped in for doing the role Mallika what supposed to do. Milind Gadagkar, one of Ramu’s associates in Phoonk, is Phoonk 2 director. Neeru is, in fact, the third person whom Ramu has chosen for the particular role. Before her, a newcomer Adin,had been chosen, but according to sources, “Adin , who shot for two days, threw a lot of tantrums, angering Ramu in the bargain.”
Neeru confirmed the news. She says, “Yes, I am doing Phoonk 2. However, I cannot divulge what role I play in the film. Phoonk 2 is a thriller and I have been strictly told not to reveal anything about the story.”
When asked if Vivek Oberoi, who is close to Neeru, has anything to do with this, she said, “Gosh! Tomorrow, you’ll say that Vivek recommended me to Dharma Productions because he is doing Karan Johar’s Kurbaan.”
