AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Tamil Nadu on a three-day itinerary from Sep 8. This decision has been taken by Rahul Gandhi for strengthening the party from its base level.
Congress had never come to power in the state since 1967.
Rahul’ visit will start with the Youth Congress meeting in Nagercoil which is scheduled to take place on Sep 8. After that the young Congressman will meet his party workers in Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar and Madurai. This information was given by the TNCC President K V Thangkabalu to the media on Saturday. He also added that the Madurail Kamaraj University student will also get a chnance to talk to the youth leader on Sep 8.
On Sep 9, Rahul will be meeting the farmers and party workers at Thanjavur and Vellore. After meeting the students of the Vellore Christian Medical College, Rahul will move to Chennai for participating in the TNCC executive meeting on the same day.
On September 10, he would meet youth Congressmen at Salem, Krishnagiri and Coimbatore, Thangkabalu said.
