Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Amethi, his Lok Sabha constituency, on August 17 to check the development of the projects.
Rahul planned this surprise visit to his constituency as he had received the complaints from the villagers that benefits of various central welfare chemes were not reaching the poor.
He will also review the progress made under UPA's flagship rural job guarantee programme NREGA when he will travel to the interior areas.
Rahul will be attending a convocation ceremony of Rajiv Gandhi Information Technology Institute and inaugurate a hostel.
