Oscar winner musician A.R. Rahman claimed that his Commonwealth Games theme song will be peppier then Shakira’s ‘Waka Waka’ but the lukewarm response to his music piece forced him to recompose and make it more Chak De.

Well, in the short notice of time the CW theme song, ‘Oh Yaaro, Yeh India Bula Liya’ has been revamped to make it more sporty and vibrant.

Screenwriter and lyricist Prasoon Joshi who is the part of team responsible of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games informed, “It's been tightened up, so the duration is shorter. The instrumentation has been pepped up. The lyrics are willy-nilly the same.”

Speaking about revamping the song, Joshi quoted, “Rahman is a musician who believes in constantly improving his product. That's the way he works. He does it all the time with his music in films.”

“The work which Rahman Sahib does always grows on you gradually. You will begin to see that with this also,” he added.

Meanwhile, the music video of ‘Oh Yaaro, Yeh India Bula Liya’ which features India's sports icons, including Milkha Singh, P.T. Usha and Karnam Malleswari is expected to take another week to get ready.

Sports Secretary Sindhu Shree Khullar informed, “The video also gives it the feel of a sports anthem. It has a sharp beat now...less words, more music. No, it's sportier, more like Chak De.”
